The river at the bottom of the house grounds is called La Beune. It is a tributory of the Vezere and is a wonderful tranquil place for a spot of fishing if you are so enclined. Daryl caught 80 fish this year so we know it is well stocked.

As the river is private there is no requirement for a licence but if you wish to fish the bigger rivers such as the Dordogne or Vezere you can purchase a temporary licence from the local post office for around 35 – 40 Euros which covers a 2 week period.
